Pre Premier: Hour-long workshop with judge after competition. Pre Register or Register at the
competition.
1. Membership in the Portland Highland Dancing Association is required for all competitors. (See page 2)
2. Dance competition will be governed by the rules of the RSOBHD and SDUSA.
3. Advance entry is required.
4. Entries close on Sunday, November 1 at 11:59 PM.
5. Two dollars of each entry goes to ScotDance USA Northwest Region to support Highland Dance events in
the NW Region.
6. Entries close on November 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST
7. No refunds. No exceptions.
8. Only members of the competition committee may communicate with the judge and dance piper.
9. Each dancer must present a valid 2026 RSOBHD Registration card.
10. Age groups will be determined after November 1.
11. Dancers will dance in inverse order of entry.
12. Any dancer causing a delay may miss the event.
13. An aggregate trophy will be awarded in each Beginner, Novice, and Intermediate age group.
14. No aggregate trophy will be awarded in the Primary class.
15. In case of a tie, duplicate awards will be presented.
16. Dancers must remain in costume to receive awards.
17. The decision of the judge is final.
18. Any protest must be submitted in writing to the competition organizer accompanied by a fee of $20.
Unsigned protests will not be considered.
19. Protests must be submitted no later than the end of the dance competition. Fees will be returned if protests
are sustained.

Attention Primary and Beginner Dancers: If entering some but not all events offered, it is necessary
to provide the requested information for each dance being entered
Annual Membership Information Membership is required for all dancers and professionals and is separate from entry fees.
